The EU continues to work as usual in Ukraine and is not going to evacuate its citizens, representative of the EU External Action Service, Peter Stano said, TASS reported.

His remarks came during a press conference in Brussels.

The representative said that the EU regularly assesses the situation on the ground and each country has its own criteria to decide whether to evacuate its citizens.

At the end of January, the State Department ordered the families of the US embassy staff in Kyiv to leave Ukraine and also allowed some of the diplomatic mission's staff to do so. The State Department said that US citizens were advised not to travel to Ukraine due to the  threat of Russian military actions.
