The German Foreign Ministry has urged the Germans in Ukraine to leave the country if it is not necessary for them to stay there, according to the ministry's website, RIA Novosti reported.
"If you are in Ukraine, check whether your presence [there] is mandatory. If not, leave as soon as possible," the statement said.
Earlier, a number of other Western countries reported the evacuation of their diplomats and the latter’s families from Ukraine.
