A 6.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Ninotsminda, Georgia yesterday caused no casualties, the head of Ninotsminda-based Gorelovka village Mnatsakan Babajanyan told NEWS.am.
"The epicenter was in our community. There is no destruction but many buildings have cracks. The damage is minimal. And there is no damage in Ninotsminda district," Babajanyan said.
According to Mnatsakan Babajanyan, 85% of community members are Armenians, whereas 90% of Ninotsminda residents are Armenians.
Yesterday an earthquake with magnitude 6.2 struck Georgia, after which 6 more tremors with magnitude 3.1 were registered. At the same time there was an earthquake in Armenia. The earthquake was felt in Shirak, Lori and Aragatsotn provinces with a magnitude of 4-5 and in Yerevan with a magnitude of 3.
