YEREVAN. – A total of 165 aftershocks were registered in Armenia after Sunday’s earthquake, and the strongest of them measured magnitude 3. Sos Margaryan, Director at Western Survey for the Seismic Protection Service of Armenia, told this to a press conference Monday—and referring to the quake that hit the Armenian-Georgian border area Sunday evening, and its aftermath.
According to him, aftershocks are typical of such earthquakes.
