The World Bank will temporarily relocate staff from Ukraine and suspend staff travel to the country due to tensions on the border between Russia and Ukraine, according to an internal memo obtained by Reuters.

The World Bank said it is closely monitoring the situation and its operations in Ukraine continue.

The top priority for the World Bank Group is to keep our employees and their families safe. In accordance with our evacuation policy, temporary relocation of employees and enhanced security measures are being implemented, the memo reads.
