A group of senior Turkish officials will travel to Israel ahead of President Isaac Herzog's planned trip to Ankara, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the delegation will be led by President Tayyip Erdogan's chief foreign policy adviser Ibrahim Kalin and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal. The officials will also meet with Palestinian authorities.

The Israeli president and the Israeli foreign ministry said Kalin and Onal would coordinate Herzog's visit.

The delegation is also expected to meet Palestinian officials, including President Mahmoud Abbas.

Herzog will visit Turkey from 9 to 10 March, Turkish media reported.
