Turkey is ready to host talks between representatives of Russia and Ukraine to resolve the disagreements between the two countries, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, Anadolu reported.

As the Turkish Foreign Ministry reports, Cavusoglu held separate phone talks with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts, Sergey Lavrov and Dmytro Kuleba, during which they discussed the escalation of tensions between Moscow and Kyiv.

Cavusoglu highlighted diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis in his conversation with Lavrov. He confirmed that Turkey is ready to host a meeting between Russia and Ukraine.

Lavrov also confirmed that he would attend the 2nd Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, March 11-13, and the ministerial meeting on Syria in the Astana format, also to be held in Antalya.

Russian Foreign Minister wished a speedy recovery to his Turkish counterpart, who had been previously tested positive for coronavirus.

Mevlut Cavusoglu and Dmytro Kuleba discussed recent developments related to tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
