After weeks of intensive talks, we are closer than ever to an agreement on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Ali Bagheri Kani, political deputy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and Iranian negotiator on the resumption of the JCPOA on Iran's nuclear program, wrote about this on Twitter.

"Our negotiating partners need to be realistic, avoid intransigence and heed lessons of past 4yrs. Time for their serious decisions," Kani added.

For his part, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said that the United States is in the final stages of indirect talks with Iran—and aimed at salvaging the 2015 agreement.

This is a really crucial time during which they will be able to determine whether or not the parties will mutually return to maintaining the JCPOA, Price said.
