The European Union has condemned the recognition by Russian President Vladimir Putin of the DPR and LPR, BBC reported.
The recognition of two separatist territories in Ukraine is a flagrant violation of international law, the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the Minsk agreements, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The EU and its partners will respond to this with unity, firmness and determination in solidarity with Ukraine, she said.
