World oil prices on Tuesday morning are rising by 1-3% due to increased geopolitical tensions, the price of Brent oil exceeded $97 per barrel for the first time since September 30, 2014, according to trading data.

The price of May futures for Brent crude rose by 1.25% to $94.15 per barrel. Earlier in the course of trading, the price exceeded $97 per barrel. April WTI futures rose 2.82% to $92.75.
