The European Union (EU) has decided to ban all transactions with the Central Bank of Russia and freeze its assets. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated about this at a press conference in Brussels on Sunday, TASS reports.
According to her, this is done to prevent the bank from funding the Russian military operations in Ukraine.
Earlier, the EU announced that it will close its airspace to Russian airlines.
