At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government of Armenia decided to appoint Robert Ghukasyan as the new Governor of Syunik Province.
Prior to that, Melikset Poghosyan was relieved of the aforesaid post.
Earlier, Ghukasyan was dismissed from his duties as an adviser to the prime minister. Also, he was serving as coordinator of the government programs in Syunik.
