An advance team from the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague has left for Ukraine to begin investigating possible war crimes, the ICC chief prosecutor told Reuters.

Earlier, ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan announced that he would begin collecting evidence as part of an official investigation into the conflict in Ukraine.

According to him, the ICC will study possible war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide by all parties to the conflict.
