Israel and the UAE have agreed on security measures that will allow Israeli airlines to resume flights to Dubai, security agency Shin Bet said.

The airport security dispute in Dubai forced a reduction in the number of flights, and without this decision, all flights would have been stopped by March 8.

Shin Bet said that an agreement had been reached with the Emirati colleagues.

General principles of operation and security measures have been agreed that will allow Israeli airlines to fly regularly to Dubai again, the statement said.

Direct flights from Tel Aviv to Dubai are one of the fruits of a landmark 2020 deal to establish links between Israel and the UAE. Since then, hundreds of thousands of Israelis have visited the commercial hub of the UAE.
