South Korea said on Monday it plans to suspend transactions with Russia's central bank, Yonhap reported.

The South Korean government will release details after consultations with relevant government agencies.

Seoul has joined the sanctions against Russia, including export controls and Moscow's disconnection from the global payment system SWIFT.

As part of the move, South Korea has decided to suspend operations with seven major Russian banks and effectively ban investment in Russian government bonds.
