The UK will supply Ukraine with air defense systems, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said.
Her remarks came at a press conference with her US counterpart Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington DC.
“The best way to help protect the skies is through anti-air weaponry, which the UK is now going to be supplying to Ukraine,” Truss said.
She said the UK is not seeking to create a no-fly zone over humanitarian corridors in Ukraine because that would lead to a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia.
She reiterated that the UK would like Russia to be completely disconnected from SWIFT and all G7 countries to stop using Russian oil and gas.
