Baku, by its behavior, must not sidetrack us from the road to establishing peace. President-elect Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia told this to reporters Thursday.

According to him, Armenia should be able to do that—including through economic and military power, diplomacy, and foreign policy.

"We must defend ourselves. And by defending ourselves, we must say that we are protected," Khachaturyan added.

To note, Azerbaijani provocations have increased in recent times—both on the line of contact with Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and along the border with Armenia.
