China refused to supply aircraft parts to Russian airlines, said Valery Kudinov, head of the aircraft airworthiness department of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

According to him, Russia plans to look for opportunities to supply aircraft parts in Turkey, India and other countries, Interfax reports.

On February 26, the European Union imposed sanctions that prohibit the supply of civil aircraft and spare parts to Russia, as well as their maintenance and insurance. In addition, the sanctions oblige lessors to terminate their existing contracts with airlines by the end of March.
