French President Emmanuel Macron said he would speak to Russian leader Vladimir Putin again in the next 48 hours.
"This morning with Chancellor Scholz of Germany we spoke to Putin. We plan to talk to him again in the next 48 hours," Macron told the opening of the extraordinary EU summit in Versailles.
He said that he intends to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine and find a way out of the conflict, RIA Novosti reported.
