The humanitarian crisis is deepening in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Taguhi Tovmasyan, an MP of the opposition "With Honor" Faction in the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, stated about this at Monday’s session of the aforementioned committee.

According to her, the Azerbaijani military does not allow even the Russian peacekeepers to approach the damaged section of the natural gas pipeline entering Artsakh from Armenia.

"They do not allow it to be restored. That is why transport problems have arisen in Artsakh. Problems have arisen also in a number of production enterprises," Tovmasyan added. It is, in particular, about baking bread.

This lawmaker has already applied to several international organizations that are engaged in human rights.

"If this continues, we may have other problems. It is about electricity supply. Electricity is provided to the population [of Artsakh] in extremely overloaded conditions. Production capacity will not be enough for a long time," Tovmasyan said.
