YEREVAN. – Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: An announcement is posted on the official website of the Yerevan Municipality that “by the (…) decision of the plenipotentiary representative of the Mayor of Yerevan, RA citizen Ashot Galstyan’s notification on holding a rally (…) and a march (…) on March 19 until in the area adjacent to the Embassy of the Russian Federation [(RF)] in the RA has been taken into account."

Past has received noteworthy information about this upcoming rally. Our sources convey that the RF political elite is quite bewildered and indignant at the fact that some circles that generate anti-Russian sentiments have become more active in Armenia especially these days; instead, only 1-2 pro-Russian rallies—and with quite few people, in that—have been held [in Yerevan]. This is assessed in Moscow as a frivolous attitude by our country towards the strategic ally at war.

And so, it was decided on Saturday, March 19, to organize a mass rally and a march [in Yerevan] in support of the Russian Federation.

By the way, according to our information, taking into account that, according to various polls, those with a pro-Russian view make up the vast majority in Armenia, the organizers of the rally believe that the assembly will be a unique indicator for Moscow to find out whether or not those who consider themselves friends of RF are really ready to express a clear position at a crucial moment.
