The UK is working to create an international coalition that will help the world cope with dependence on Russian hydrocarbons, and is counting on the support of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister's office said in a statement.

The United Kingdom is forming an international coalition to deal with the new reality we are facing. The world must wean itself from Russian hydrocarbons, said the head of the British government.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are key international partners in this effort. We will work with them to ensure regional security, humanitarian goals and the long-term stabilization of global energy markets, the statement said.
