After three rounds of face-to-face negotiations in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine have decided to continue them in videoconference format to save time, effort and money, the head of the Russian delegation, presidential aide Vladimir Medinskiy said, TASS reported.

"Three face-to-face rounds of talks were held in Belarus, since the logistics are very complicated, in order to save time, energy and money, we decided to avoid overnight flights to Belarus and limit our daily work from morning to evening in the format of video conferencing," Medinsky said.

The first round of talks between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine was held on 28 February in Gomel region of Belarus; the meeting lasted for five hours. Then the parties met in Belovezhskaya Pushcha on 3 March and in Brest region on 7 March. On 10 March, on the margins of a diplomatic forum in Antalya, a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Dmytro Kuleba was held.
