The 'special operation' to demilitarize and denationalize Ukraine will be carried out to the end, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

According to him, the tactics of the Russian Armed Forces in carrying out the 'special military operation' fully justified itself.

He noted that at the very beginning of the operation in Donbass, the Kiev authorities had been asked through various channels to avoid senseless bloodshed, not to engage in hostilities, but simply to withdraw their troops from Donbass.

"They didn't want to! Well, that's their decision. The realization of what is happening in the real situation on the ground will come inevitably," Putin concluded.
