If Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy doesn't sign a peace treaty with Russia, he will have to sign an act of capitulation, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said.

His remarks came during an interview to the Japanese TV channel TBS, excerpts of which were cited by BELTA agency.

"Russia offers Ukraine, I know it for sure, an absolutely acceptable version of the agreement. And today it is still possible for Ukraine and Russia to agree and for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sign this agreement with Russian leader Vladimir Putin," Lukashenka said. "If Zelensky does not go for it, then, believe me, he will have to sign an act of capitulation within a short time," he said.

"I am practically convinced that we will not have to go to war with Ukraine. The West will not succeed in dragging us into this conflict. We have enough intelligence not to be dragged into this conflict, as we are being pushed into this conflict today by the Americans together with their partners," the president said.

Lukashenko said that "in the last week Ukraine launched two Tochka-U missiles on the territory of Belarus. Fortunately, we managed to shoot them down. Therefore, if they provoke us constantly, we will have to respond," he said.
