Switzerland, included by the Russian government in the list of unfriendly countries, banned the supply of luxury goods to Russia, and also joined a series of other sanctions announced earlier by the European Union due to the events in Ukraine, Swiss government reported.

The government recalled that on March 15, the EU expanded sanctions against Russia.

The Federal Council on March 18 also adopted these measures, which will come into force in the coming days.

The Government noted that the ban on the export of luxury goods is part of these measures.
