Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden on Friday had a conversation that lasted nearly two hours, China Central Television reported.

As clarified the channel, the meeting began at 21:00 Beijing time and ended at 22:52. It was held in a closed format and was devoted to a number of important issues, including the situation in Ukraine.

During the conversation, as noted, the Chinese leader spoke in favor of maintaining peace and invited Biden to make efforts to normalize relations between China and the United States.
