French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a phone conversation discussed the prospects of ending the war launched by Russia, UNIAN reported with reference to BFM TV.
The presidents of France and Ukraine had another phone conversation, two days after their previous call.
Macron confirmed his support for Ukraine and France's readiness to do more with European partners.
The two presidents discussed the likely prospects for a way out of the crisis.
Later in his video message, Zelenskyy commented on the phone conversation with the French president.
"I talked today with President Macron of the French Republic about our interaction, about finding a solution for peace, to liberate our territories, to save our people. I'm sure you understand that negotiations are not easy and pleasant, but they are necessary because this is about life. Ukraine has always sought a peaceful solution, moreover, we are interested in peace now, because we are the ones who count every killed because it is every destroyed family, every destroyed house that matters to us, because we are Ukrainians, and to us a person is priceless," he said.
