38 Armenians are still kept prisoners in Azerbaijan, including 3 civilians, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.
His remarks came at the session of the parliamentary standing committee on foreign relations in the National Assembly on Monday.
The Minister said that the actions of Azerbaijani authorities are illegal.
"Yerevan continues to raise the issue of the immediate return of Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and other illegally detained persons in Azerbaijan. There are still 38 Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan. Among them are both prisoners of war and civilians. At that, 2 out of 38 people were captured before the escalation on 16 November 2021," Mirzoyan said.
The issue was put on the agenda of the April session of PACE on 19 April 2021, the Foreign Minister said. Moreover, the decision of the ECHR on the application of interim measures against Azerbaijan remains in force.
