The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Tuesday observed a minute of silence in honor of the victims of the 1920 Shushi massacre in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

Hayk Mamijanyan, the secretary of the opposition "With Honor" Faction of the NA, made this proposal.

The MPs of the ruling majority "Civil Contract" as well as the opposition "Armenia" Factions also supported this initiative.

Mamijanyan reminded that up to 20 thousand Armenians living in and around Shushi city were killed as a result of the aforesaid massacre.

"Those massacres launched by the Turkish-Azerbaijani gangs," he added.
