US President Joe Biden will announce joint actions for strengthening Europe's energy security and reducing its dependence on Russian oil and natural gas.
The remarks came from National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan talking about Biden's upcoming visit to Europe where he will meet with NATO allies, G7 and European Union leaders.
During Biden's visit, he said, both new sanctions against Russia and additional restrictions will be announced to close existing gaps. He added that during his visit to Brussels and Warsaw, Biden will discuss the long-term deployment of alliance troops on the eastern flank and "join efforts to reduce Europe's dependence on Russia."
