YEREVAN. – Defense Minister Suren Papikyan of Armenia on Wednesday received US Ambassador Lynne Tracy. US Embassy Defense Attaché, Colonel Gregory Pipes, also attended this talk.

The defense minister informed the US ambassador about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), as well as reflected on the humanitarian issues—emphasizing the need for their immediate solution, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The parties discussed also the current issues and prospects of the Armenian-American cooperation in the defense sector.

At the end of the meeting, views were exchanged on international security as well as military and political developments.
