Armenian Ombudsperson Kristine Grigoryan received Swedish Ambassador to Armenia Patrik Svensson on Wednesday.

"Grigoryan welcomed Svensson to the Ombudsperson's office and presented the priorities of the office, while stressing her determination to implement the mandate of the Human Rights Defender in the best possible way to eliminate discrimination, hatred, protection of women's rights, etc.

In his turn, the Ambassador of Sweden congratulated Grigoryan on her assumption of the position of Human Rights Defender and highly appreciated the priorities of the sectoral activities defined by her, emphasizing the readiness of the Swedish Embassy to support the activities.

Concluding the meeting, the parties expressed willingness to continue and deepen their cooperation," the statement says.
