The West needs to deliver F-35 fighter jets and Patriot systems to Turkey without preconditions, Fahrettin Altun, head of the Turkish Presidential Administration said.

"Membership in the European Union is Turkey's strategic goal, and the alliance with NATO is a source of pride. Turkey expects to get the support it deserves from the West. Restoring relations requires confidence-building steps, not so-called informal offers ... What the West needs to do today is to supply Turkey with F-35 warplanes and Patriot without any preconditions," Altun said in an article for the Wall Street Journal.
