The basis for Erdogan's claims about Bennett's upcoming visit is unclear. There is no confirmation from the Israeli authorities, the Times of Israel notes.

According to Erdogan, cooperation in the field of natural gas is one of the most important steps that Turkey and Israel can take amid an attempt to restore relations.

Earlier in March, Erdogan said Israeli President Isaac Herzog's visit to Turkey would be a turning point in tensions between regional powers.

Israeli Prime Minister Bennett may also appear in this process. With his arrival, there may be a chance to start a new era in Turkish-Israeli relations, Erdogan told reporters, returning from the NATO summit in Brussels.
