Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan signed on Saturday a decree on temporary restriction of rights and freedoms under the martial law declared on the territory of the Artsakh Republic.

According to the decree, during the period of martial law declared on the territory of the Republic of Artsakh, in the manner prescribed by law:

1. the right to freedom of assembly is restricted,

2. strikes and other events that contribute to the termination or suspension of the activities of organizations are prohibited,

3. The work of organizations engaged in propaganda or other activities directed against the defense capability and security of the Republic of Artsakh is suspended.

“Responsibility for ensuring the application of temporary restrictions on the rights and freedoms established by this decree lies with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh,” the report says.
