A number of Azerbaijani media outlets reported Sunday that Azerigaz had allegedly eliminated the consequences of the accident on the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) natural gas distribution line, and therefore natural gas supply to Artsakh would be restored on March 29. Artsakhgaz company noted about this in a statement it released.

"We inform that the above-mentioned announcement is false and provocative disinformation which pursues an insidious goal to take advantage of the difficult situation and mislead the Armenians of Artsakh and the international community in the information arena.

We inform that natural gas enters the territory of the Artsakh Republic only through one gas pipeline from the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and the gas supply company is Gazprom Armenia CJSC (…).

Receipt and distribution of natural gas from the mentioned gas pipeline to its subscribers is carried out by Artsakhgaz CJSC. Therefore, the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR or its subsidiary company Azerigaz, noted in the message, cannot have anything to do with the [natural] gas supply process of the Artsakh Republic. It is simply ruled out both technically and geographically," Artsakhgaz company added, in particular, in its statement.
