A draft presidential decree on retaliatory visa measures against unfriendly countries is being developed in Russia, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, TASS reports.

“In addition, a draft presidential decree is being developed on retaliatory visa measures in connection with the unfriendly actions of a number of foreign states,” he said at a meeting of the United Russia commission on international cooperation and support for compatriots abroad. “This act will introduce a number of restrictions on entry into the territory of Russia.”

Lavrov noted that to prevent a threat to the life and health of citizens of third countries and stateless persons who ended up on the territory of Ukraine, entry into Russia was simplified.

He added that the focus of Moscow's attention is also the development of a set of response measures to the unfriendly actions of the United States and its satellites.

“Of course, the focus of our attention is the development of a set of measures, including their legislative support, measures to respond to the unfriendly actions of the United States and its satellites. These include, first of all, illegitimate sanctions, as well as all decisions that infringe on the rights of Russian citizens and legal entities,” the FM said.
