Copper traded slightly lower on Tuesday morning on uncertainty over COVID-19 outbreaks in its largest importer, China, trading data show.

May futures for copper on the Comex stock exchange is down 0.06% to $4.7212 per pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

On the London Metal Exchange (LME), following the results of Monday, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months rose by 0.72% to $10,341, aluminum - by 0.25% to $3,614, zinc - by 0.52%, to $4,087.5.
