The official representative of President Tayyip Erdogan, Ibrahim Kalin, called Russia's demands to recognize the annexation of Crimea and the independence of the DPR and LPR unrealistic, CNN reports.
The most difficult topics in the negotiations relate to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, which must be protected. The Ukrainian side cannot compromise on Crimea and Donbas. These are very maximalist demands that are unrealistic. This directly concerns the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, Kalin said.
Erdogan's representative said that Moscow does not trust NATO, and only Turkey from the members of the alliance adheres to neutrality, which makes dialogue in this country possible.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin listens to Erdogan.
