The OSCE Minsk Group has been ignoring the current prime minister of Armenia for quite a long time. Opposition public and political figure and ex-MP Ruben Hakobyan told this to a press conference Tuesday.

According to him, before PM Nikol Pashinyan came to power, the OSCE Minsk Group had considered the Armenian side quite constructive.

But Hakobyan expressed a conviction that after some time the Minsk Group co-chairs were personally convinced that they are "dealing with an ignorant and uneducated" person.

"Nikol Pashinyan is a man who aspired to power, not knowing either the language of diplomacy or the international protocol. The co-chairs have realized that it is not worth dealing with him. In my opinion, the neutral position of the OSCE Minsk Group [regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict] is not their fault. This position is conditioned by distrust of the incumbent authorities [of Armenia]. At the end of the day, Pashinyan can again wake up and announce that he has decided to resume the negotiation process," said Ruben Hakobyan.
