YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: Contradictory information was being received for days about the village of Parukh in the Askeran region of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)].

Yesterday we were told that it is true that the Azerbaijanis withdrew from Parukh, but [they] did not completely withdraw from the occupied part of the Karaglukh hill, although the Russian peacekeepers have been actively negotiating [with them] for several days.

We were informed that about half of the Azerbaijanis have returned to the initial position, as of yesterday evening there were about 200-250 Azerbaijanis left [there], whom the Russian peacekeepers do not allow to carry out a shift change and keep in touch with the Azerbaijani base.

According to our source in Artsakh, this inspires hope that their [food] stock will soon run out and they will voluntarily return to the initial position.

For two days, the Russian side has multiplied the presence of its peacekeepers in that area—relocating from other points—who oversee and do not allow a shift change to take place. In parallel, they continue to negotiate with the Azerbaijanis.

Let us note that it is after the uproar raised by the Armenian press that the Russian armed forces have budged and taken steps. They are worried in Russia also.
