Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Tuesday in the Moroccan capital with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

They discussed friendship and cooperation between the UAE and the United States and ways to strengthen them in various fields in order to achieve mutual interests and enhance security and stability in the region, Emirati news agency WAM reported.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Blinken considered a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as the Ukrainian crisis. They exchanged views on efforts to mitigate its effects and de-escalate the situation at the humanitarian and economic levels through dialogue, diplomatic means and joint action to maintain global security and stability, the agency notes.

Blinken arrived on Monday in Morocco on a working visit.
