Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives will examine statements from fellow party member Madison Cawthorn, who alleges cases of cocaine use by members of Congress. Cawthorn also complained that he has been regularly asked to take part in orgies since he moved to DC, according to Vice.

“The sexual perversion that goes on in Washington,” Cawthorn said on the Warrior Poet Society podcast. “Being kind of a young guy in Washington when the average age is probably 60 and 70 … you look at all these people, a lot of them that I’ve looked up to through my life, then all of a sudden you get invited: ‘Hey, we’re going to have a sexual get together at one of our homes. You should come.’ I’m like, ‘What did you just ask me to come to?’ Then you realized they’re asking you to come to an orgy.”

The comments of the 26-year-old politician, who shared his insights as part of a podcast, will now be studied. The issue of cocaine and orgies was already raised on March 29 during the Republican conference in the House of Representatives, according to Politico.
