Moscow intends to expand banking cooperation with Baku in national currencies, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov told a press conference on Wednesday, TASS reports.

"According to the declaration [on allied cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia], we plan to expand banking cooperation in national currencies; there are already positive steps in this regard," he said.

The Russian diplomat noted that all the existing agreements between the two countries will be carried out.

"Despite the current unstable foreign trade and economic relations between Russia and other countries, all agreements will be implemented in full, in the case of Azerbaijan," Bocharnikov added.
