Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev hopes that the upcoming meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan, with the participation of European Council President Charles Michel, will be productive, he said on Thursday at a meeting with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, Turan news agency reported.
“We must move forward towards peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, a peace treaty must be signed as soon as possible,” Aliyev said.
According to him, the Armenian side declares that it accepts Baku's proposals and this is a good sign.
“This is very good, and I hope that the situation will be clarified in Brussels,” Aliyev added.
In turn, Rau expressed hope for a speedy settlement of the conflict, calling the current situation promising.
