Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan received Romanian Ambassador to Armenia Cornel Ionescu on Thursday, the Defense Ministry press service informed NEWS.am.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to regional security.

The defense minister presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as Armenia's proposals and position on defusing tensions.

The sides expressed readiness to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
