YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan has submitted to the parliament the report on last year's activity, which will be heard at the forthcoming sitting of the NA [(National Assembly)].

The report of the prosecutor's office is extensive—of 313 pages. It is noted that compared to the previous year, the number of crimes in 2021 has increased by about 15 percent—with 3,800 cases. Also, 2,000 cases related to the 44-day [Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] war [in the fall of 2020] are being investigated (…).

It is noted that these cases are of unprecedented volume, only about 150 people—including the AR [(Artsakh Republic)] President, DA [(Defense Army)] commanders, AR President's Adviser, DA deputy commander, former secretary of the AR Security Council—were questioned in the case on the Shushi [city’s] bombing [by Azerbaijan] alone.
