YEREVAN. – Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, who is in Lithuania on a working visit, met with Lithuanian deputy foreign minister Mantas Adomenas, the Office of the Security Council of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The sides discussed the security situation in the South Caucasus. In this context, the Armenian Security Council chief presented the latest regional developments, as well as the approaches of the Armenian side to Armenia-Azerbaijan relations—in particular, the establishment of peace in the region, the process of demarcation and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and the unblocking of all regional economic channels.
The interlocutors highlighted the course of the snap elections of the National Assembly held in Armenia in 2021 and the subsequent popular reforms. All this was underscored in the context of the development of bilateral relations.
Reference was made also to bilateral cooperation in the fight against fake news. In the framework of this topic, the secretary of the Security Council presented facts refuting such “news” being spread about Armenia.
