The German side is promoting efforts to reduce tensions and peacefully resolve problems both on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Karabakh, German ambassador to Armenia Victor Richter said.

His remarks came during his meeting with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Friday.

The sides discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Karabakh, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry informed NEWS.am.

The Armenian defense minister particularly said that the actions of Azerbaijan endanger the fragile regional stability. The international community has to take all the possible measures to prevent another escalation in the region.

The sides also discussed issues concerning the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
